Huge Attendance at Adoniram Mark Lodge Installation 19th November 2014

The popularity of Adoniram Mark Lodge No 552 was shown when over 160 brethren attended the installation of Stewart Cowburn into the chair of this fine Lodge. He was very ably installed by the outgoing Master, Assistant Provincial Grand Master, Ian Nairn, who did a faultless job.

Stuart is well known in the Mark Degree having been advanced into Leyland Mark Lodge No 1002 some years ago (too long ago to mention) and became Worshipful Master in 1983. Since then he has held various Provincial appointments including Provincial Grand Sword Bearer in 1989 followed by promotion to Past Provincial Grand Junior Warden in 1994 and then three years later he was appointed as a Grand Steward and during his year in this prestigious office he joined Grand Stewards Lodge.

In addition to being his Lodge Almoner, he is currently the leader of the IONIC West Lancashire Mark Charity Group and has been a member Fun Day Organising Committee since its introduction. Stuart can always be seen on the day, in and around the refreshment area helping out with the burger bar and drinks stall.
